It used to be that TNN meant The Nashville Network, and was a cable channel that you were as likely to see programs highlighting Buck Owens as anything else. Twang. Now they have reinvented themselves as The National Network and starting today they are playing mosting 1970s sitcoms and dramas: Newhart, WKRP, Miami Vice, Taxi, The Wonder Years. On the weekends they plan all sorts of “man shows” with names like “Trucks” and “Car and Driver Television.” One wonders if they had to go to the CRTC on this?
I actually miss the Nashville Network....
Back in the 80's....I really enjoyed it.....watched it alot.....
Wish they could archive it.......put it back on cable....

a few years ago I watched several shows on TNN. One of my favorites was hosted by Charlie Chase and a very pretty ladie whose husband was the director or producer and his last name was Owen.If possible would you email her name and maybe tell me what business they are in now. Also, has Ralph Emery retired.Would really appreciate your help. Thanks
Her name was Lori Ann Crook... the show was Crook & Chase. Not sure what she's up to these days. Heck, I just figured out that TNN was really gone.
Try www.crookandchase.com .
Does anyone remember an old Television show on TNN called, "Wish You Were Here...?" hosted by Kenny and Donna Price ? It was an RV travel show from the late 70's to early 80's. I can't find any info on the net about it or find out if it is available on VHS or if a retro tv channel is airing the re runs .
I did not have a cable connection back in the eighties when Bobby Bare and Friends was on TNN. I would like to find any or all of the vidios of this program.

If you have Dish network, Direct tv or cable you can get RFDTV. They air a lot of the old programs.Porter Waggoner, POP GOES THE COUNTRY hosted by Ralph Emery and several more. On Dish network its on channel 231.

but, before i got a response my email address changed.
i would like to get in contact with her. if any way possible. i have tapes of most of the shows.
sincerely, linda marshall
nashville has killed western music. most of its pop flavored .thank god for branson.
I'm pretty sure that Kenny and Donna have both passesd on.
It would be Crook & Chase shows. I used to never never miss a show. They were great hosts. Now who even cares to watch TNN, they certainly don't have what Charlie and Lori did.
And Gary Chapman was a decent host too.
Who makes these decisions? Why don't they ask the public's opinions first????? Instead of leaving us with nothing.
